What is Plastering & Why is it Important?
Good plastering is one of those things you only notice when it has been done badly. Lumps, cracks, uneven surfaces, old artex that should have gone years ago, damp patches bleeding through a month after someone skimmed over them. If you are renovating, extending, or just trying to get your walls into a decent state before decorating, our plastering services cover it. Single room skims, full house re-plasters, ceilings, exteriors. We work across London, Kent, East Sussex and the South East.
CBL Stone Renovations has been plastering for over 30 years. We came up through stonemasonry on period buildings, and plastering was always part of the job. That means we know how older walls behave. We know which plasters sit properly on lime substrates and which ones will crack within six months. We know when a wall needs hacking off and starting again rather than skimming over a problem. But we are not only a period property outfit. We do plenty of standard plasterboard work on new builds and extensions too. The difference is that when something unusual turns up behind the wall, we have seen it before and we know what to do with it.

Any loose plaster or damaged areas are carefully removed, and the walls and ceilings are cleaned and prepared for new plaster.
Application
We apply plaster using modern materials and techniques suited to your needs. For interior walls, we typically use gypsum plaster for a smooth, quick-drying finish. Exterior plaster repairs or rendering use materials designed to withstand weather conditions.
Finishing & Clean-Up
